Overview of the Mobile Manipulation Track in the 11th RGMC¶
Purpose¶
The purpose of this track is to test mobile bimanual manipulation skills. This is,
- The combination of navigation with vision for target navigation, to place the robotic platform to enable it to
- Perform manipulation tasks comfortably (say pick & place), with special emphasis in
- Bimanual manipulation skills. This is, the tasks will encourage the use of two arms.
Target audience¶
The target audience are roboticists and robotics enthusiasts that aim to test their skills in a fully integrated bimanual mobile manipulator, PAL Robotics' TIAGo Pro.
Format, duration and schedule¶
The Mobile Manipulation Track will happen at the 2026 IEEE/RAS International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in June 1st-5th in Vienna, Austria.
The tentative schedule of the whole RGMC competition is shown below. The arena for the MMT track will not only be available for the competition slots, but throughout the whole duration of the competition.
